To ensure successful biopharmaceutical product development and product quality, one need to have a solid understanding with the fundamental science and technology behind the manufacturing process, the product and the associated testing methods.  This presentation articulate author’s view of staying with high degree of rigor in searching for deeper understanding of factors that affect antibody product quality in the era of platform development.  Case studies will be given as examples to illustrate the importance of embracing challenges to gain scientific insight.
